Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) supports the hoisting of Nishan Sahib’s by the Sikh Battalions in Ladakh and young Sikh spirited adventurers atop the Red Fort in Delhi on 26th January 2021.-Simranjit Singh Mānn
The Tribune Dated 18 February, 2021.
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is a learned Article by the author Mr. Bedi. However, Mr. Bedi because of his deep attachment to the Hindutava state has overlooked the fact that the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) annexed Ladakh in 1834 and made it an integral part of the Sikh Empire.
As such the Sikhs have never lost interest in Ladakh , where the Hindu state has continuously surrendered over 40,000 square kms to Communist China. Presently, it has given away more territory. The Union BJP- RSS Government of Premier Narendra Modi had to send more Sikh Battalions to Ladakh to stem the Communist China’s ingress.
These Sikh Battalions as per their tradition hoisted the Nishan Sahib (Sikh Flag) at every point where Communist China’s PLA had made an intrusion into Ladakh Territory.
It is difficult for the Sikh’s to understand why Premier Narendra Modi has ordered the registration of criminal cases against Sikh youth who hoisted the same Nishan Sahib atop the Red Fort in Delhi on 26th January 2021.
If the hoisting of the Nishan Sahib by Sikh Battalions in Ladakh was pleasing to the fanatic BJP- RSS Union Government then it should be proud of Sikh adventurers hoisting this very flag atop the Red Fort. After all the sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
We hope the BJP- RSS Union Government would revise its orders on registering criminal cases against the Sikhs. Our party supports these intrepid Sikhs to the hilt.

NP : The Nishan Sahib is the Sikh National Flag, which all standard bearers of Sikh Battalions carry into their battle marches.
