The Tribune Dated 04th March, 2021

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that since the extremist BJP- RSS Union Government of Premiere Narendra Modi annulled the Constitutional status of Jammu-Kashmir state, abrogated Articles 370 and 35-A of the constitution, dissolved the elected legislature and promulgated the barbaric law AFSPA (Armed forces special powers) whereby the armed forces have the license to kill, maim, torture, molest, rape, kidnap, abduct and detain a Kashmiri indefinitely, all with impunity, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinhaon has done precious little to safeguard the lives and livelihood of the Kashmiri’s, banned the use of the Punjabi Language, forgetting that it was the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) that annexed Kashmir in 1819 from Afghanistan of which it was a province and also losing his memory that it was Guru Teg Bhadur Sahib who gave his life to safeguard the freedom of religion of the Kashmiri Brahman’s who were forcibly being converted to Islam by Aurangzeb, has done and achieved only one thing and that is safeguard the wild life, especially of the Hangul or the Kashmiri Stag for which our party is grateful and hope that he will begin to safeguard the lives and properties of the Kashmiri peoples.
