Fatehgarh Sahib,

Press statement of Simranjit Singh Mann, President Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), dated- 18th February 2019.

Ambala, 18th February (            ) Grievous attacks on Kashmiri students in Ambala, Haryana state. Situation akin to 1984 when after execution of Indira Gandhi government of India under Rajiv Gandhi unleashed countrywide terror against the Sikh’s in which thousands of Sikh’s  were massacred by Hindu mobs in connivance with the civil administration and the police.

That year the Hindu state committed the genocide of the stateless Sikh peoples. In 1984 in same Haryana state at Hond Chillar hundreds of Sikhs were massacred by raving Hindu mobs.

The Army all over the country did nit step out of its barracks to save the Sikhs from wide scale massacres. This time around our party appeals to Lt. General Alok Singh Kler, General Officer Commanding Kharga Corps at Ambala to Assume Command as per law and save the Kashmiri students and safely transport them to their respective homes in Kashmir.

This action must be immediate and swift. District Magistrate of Ambala must cooperate with the army.

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar’s Youth President of Haryana S. Harjit Singh Virk, Mobile no.  09812463560 is camping in Ambala, beginning the operation to save Kashmiri students and worked all of last night in Ambala as they were living in suburban villages of Ambala.

State Department Washington DC must take immediate action as the right wing Hindutva Union government of Premier Narinder Modi is lax in acting against Hindu fanatics who massacre minorities when such unfortunate incidents take place.

Chief Secretary Punjab, Haryana, Union Home Secretary Delhi must take cognizance and assume charge of the deteriorating situation all over the country.

Army, Air Force and Naval Headquarters must sound General alert and mobilise troops for immediate rescue and safety operations for Kashmiris and minorities.

Simranjit Singh Mann,
