Press statement by Simranjit Singh Mann, President Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar- Dated 23rd June 2018 on the Air India Kanishka flight disaster.
It is exactly 33 years today since the Air India Kanishka flight, carrying 329 passengers lost their lives when this plane met with disaster and dropped into the Irish Sea.
On this day our party wishes to condole with all the relatives of the passengers who lost their lives.
Our party is sorry to say that THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) and its radicalised Hindu press has been blaming the Sikh’s for this great tragedy.
The facts are that the Sikh’s have never attacked civilians or unarmed populations, in their 500 year old national history.
We wish to bring on record that in 1984 the Union Rajiv Gandhi government had turned hostile towards the Sikh’s and that very year Rajiv Gandhi and his Hindu leaders had thousands of Sikh’s massacred in cold blood all over Northern India. These massacres have now come to be called the genocide of the Sikh people’s by the Hindu state.
As a result of this genocide and Hindu states military attack, aided and abetted by Great Britain and the Soviet Union’s armed forces which carried out a military operation into the holiest Sikh shrine the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple at Amritsar), vandalising the Sikh shrine, eliminating the new and upcoming leadership of the Sikh’s under Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala and killing thousands of Sikh pilgrims on 5th and 6th June 1984.
Seeing that the intentions towards the Sikhs by the Hindu state were suspect, a movement for the creation of an independent and sovereign Sikh state of Khalistan took root.
The then Premier Rajiv Gandhi and Hindu state wanted to blunt this moment and it was this very government that planned the disaster of the Kanishka flight to give the Sikh’s the image of terrorists.
We still hold that the Rajiv Gandhi Union government of the Hindu state was responsible for this horrendous tragedy.
We say so because:
1. The Canadian government has held various investigations into this case and also appointed the Major Commission to probe the disaster. Neither the investigation nor the Commission has indicted the Sikh’s.
2. Canadian government expelled two Hindu states diplomats from Canada as they were creating an atmosphere of commotion and turbulence amongst the Sikh Canadians, provoking them to do something that would serve the Hindu states purpose of labelling the Sikh’s as terrorists. Why were these diplomats expelled as Canada rarely takes such extreme steps? Our party demands an answer.
3. Two Senior diplomats posted to Canada in the Hindu states High Commission were to board the Kanishka flight. Why did they cancel their respective flights at the 11th hour? This question is yet awaiting an answer.
4. The Royal Canadian Mounted police suspected Bhai Talwinder Singh Parmar for some reasons regarding the probe into the Kanishka investigation. The Hindu state was aware and told that Canada was on the look out for Parmar. However, Parmar was arrested by the Punjab police under it’s DGP KPS Gill. It was the duty of the Hindu state to extradite Parmar to Canada to face the Kanishka probe. But KPS Gill and the Hindu state, immediately upon arresting Parmar shot him dead in an extra judicial murder, a method applied by the Hindu state to kill hundreds of Sikh’s in this manner.
Our party has been requesting the Canadian government to answer these questions why it took these extra ordinary steps against the Hindu India’s stance towards this disaster, yet the needle of suspicion has never fallen on the Hindu state?
Our party states that THIS has a history of carrying out international terrorist activities and since no specific results have come out to blame the Sikh’s then after 33 years of this heinous crime it becomes the duty of the Canadian state to probe the hand and mind of the Hindu Indian state in bringing down this flight to disaster in the Irish Sea.
We do not see any end to this controversy till this angle of the Hindu states involvement in this crime is investigated.
During the hearings by the Major Commission into the Kanishka tragedy I as President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) intended to face the Commission, but coincidentally I was never given a visa to Canada and till today await the Canadian government’s permission to grant me a visa so that I can face the press and the people there to bring home the real culprits who committed this outrageous crime against humanity.
