Nepal must be free to choose its destiny. Simranjit Singh Mānn

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is not just for The Tribune and the writer Mr. Jayadeva Rande to blame Nepal for the breakup of relations with THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State).
We all know that THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) has always had its eyes on Nepal just like it annexed Hyderabad, Goa, Kashmir and Sikkim. It is responsible for the ethnic cleansing of the Sikhs in 1947 and subsequently for their genocide, vandalism and memoricide.
Twice, once when Rajiv Gandhi was the Premier and then as Premier, Mr. Nerandra Modi blockaded Nepal economically, literally creating conditions of starvation for this landlocked country. As such Nepal has had no alternative but to look towards other friends on its border.
Our party does not support the fresh cartographic war the Hindu state has launched on Nepal. The Hindu state is for ever ready to incite the ethnic border living Madhesis, who have an affinity with the Biharies to rebel against Nepal. With this background, it is no wonder that the Nepalese have, democratically decided to distance themselves from the Hindu state. We think that it is fair and the Nepalese must choose their destiny and live without fear or deprivation.
