Please refer to the Article published in your esteemed newspaper- The Tribune dated 17th October 2019. The author of this Article Mr. G. Parthasarathy has blown the image of the Hindu Indian state as that of a super world power. This is untrue.
This would mean that the Hindu state wants to continue with the stalemate in Afghanistan, so that American forces are not withdrawn. Mr. John Bolton who was in favour of an aggressive foreign and military policy abroad has been shown the door by President Trump. As such the Americans are out of Syria, betraying the Kurds who stood by them through thick and thin. Mr. Trump says he ditched them because they did not take part in the Normandy landings in World War II. Since the Sikhs took part in all the campaigns of the war even the Normandy landings and also the Dardanelles in World War I, would mean that Mr. Trump would help the Sikhs to create an independent and sovereign Sikh state, which would become a buffer between three nuclear armed states- Islamic Pakistan, Communist China and Hindu India. We hope Mr. Trump would keep his word on the conditions he has enforced on stateless peoples to attain sovereignty.
Besides Syria, Mr. Trump wants to withdraw his forces from Japan and South Korea. Mr. Trump has also watered down his bellicose statements on Iran after he saw Mr. Bolton off. We think that Mr. Trump now seeks the Holy Grail, which would mean the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo next year. Mr. Trump could also be happy to receive the cash bounty and the prestige it brings to the winner would add to his sinking popularity.
It must not be forgotten that the Hindu Indian state has its finger in the pie in the Afghan civil war. The Hindu states faction in the Taliban could also be responsible for killing an American soldier and the Hindu state would have no compunctions if more American G I’s meet such a fate.
It is common that all powers in the region have their surrogates in the Afghan war. After the Afghan settlement the Hindu state’s fear is that the Taliban, ISIS and Al-Quida and other International Islamic factions would step into Kashmir, which is being dealt with strong Jackboots of the Hindu armed forces. What people forget is that Kashmir was a province of Afghanistan, till the Sikh Empire (Lahore Darbar 1799-1849) wrested it from the Afghan’s in 1818 and made it an integral part of the Sikh state. The Durand Line that divides Islamic Pakistan and Afghanistan is also the creation of the Sikh Empire, though an ICS Commissioner by the name of Durand named it after himself. The so-called strategic Hindu writers must not forget the work of the Sikh Empire which they have not been able to keep in one part. Islamic Pakistan has also failed to keep its part of the Sikh Empire as a single unit.
It must not be forgotten that the UN Security Council passed a resolution in 1948 for a plebiscite in Kashmir. A plebiscite is the only peaceful and democratic way to solve this vexed issue.
As far as the Sikhs are concerned, we would feel safe and secure if the UN Security Council passes a resolution for a No Fly Zone over the Sikh territories- Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, UT. Chandigarh, Leh-Ladakh, Kutch in Gujrat, or a Sikh sovereign buffer state is created between the three belligerent nuclear armed states. The other option would be that there should be an equal military equilibrium between Islamic Pakistan, Communist China and Hindu India, which would mean that the Islamic state should not only be given Chinese built frigates and submarines, but also a squadron of SU-35 fighter Jets from China’s three dozen such fighters given by Russia. We think the American’s would also be interested in keeping a balance of power in South Asia, in which case they could also part with a squadron of their F-35 stealth fighters.
From all accounts the Hindu Indian state is becoming like the rise of Germany with Adolf Hitler coming to power and it is not too far that the Hindu state would break its borders like Germany, Italy and Japan in the 1930’s, wherein the League of Nations fell into pieces and history. The UN Security Council also has a similar death wish as it can’t enforce its resolutions and the strong are getting into the hair of weaker countries.
