Ladakh was annexed in 1834 by the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849). The Sikh delegation must sit at the table when Ladakh is discussed by Communist China and Hindu India.-Simranjit Singh Mānn.
Indian Express Dated 24 November 2020.
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is for the information of the Sikhs. Ladakh was annexed by the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) in 1834 and integrated with the Sikh Empire. The Sikhs must know their historic heritage.
In any further talks with Communist China and Hindu India a Sikh delegation must sit at the table.
Our party wants to put up the map of Ladakh after its annexation in 1834 and subsequently when these matters were discussed at the Simla Conference of 1913 – 1914 and the map of Ladakh before 1962 and subsequent to 1962 when Hindu India surrendered 39,000 square kms to Communist China. Our party also wants to know how much territory has been surrendered to Communist China since April 2020.
