Information for the Sikhs.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mānn: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is for the information of Sikhs. This is very good gesture of our Muslim brethren of Malerkotla in Sangrur to donate such large stocks of wheat for “Guru Da Langer”. In fact the Sikhs have a historic relationship with the Muslims of Malerkotla as when the Subedar of Sirhind, Wazir Khan ordered the execution(For us Sikhs Martyrdom) of the two young Sahibzada’s, Baba Fateh Singh and Baba Zorawar Singh, then Nawab of Malerkotla Sher Khan intervened and told Subba Wazir Khan that the Islam faith does not allow the execution of the young children (Sahibzadas) of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj, but Subba Wazir Khan turned a deaf ear to the pleadings of Nawab Sher Khan and carried out the un – Islamic execution of the Sahibzadas. Since then the Sikhs have had very close ties with the Muslims of Malerkotla and Sangrur and they have diligently supported me during the Elections. As Sikhs we are grateful to them for donating such large stocks of wheat to the “Guru Da Langer” Which is being used to feed thousands of people who have been rendered homeless and jobless. The need to feed the homeless and the sick has risen because of the spread of the dreaded flu Corona virus pandemic. Nineteen Sikhs have been killed in an accident in district Shekupura (This is the District from which my family originates from) in Islamic Pakistan. We appeal to the Federal Government of Islamic Pakistan to render all help to these unfortunate families and Sikh Gurudwara’s around the World to come out and help these families in every way possible. We request our Party Convener in New Jersey in the US to make a separate appeal to all Gurudwara’s in the US and Canada, besides our Chairman S. Gurdial Singh Atwal in the UK and the Chairman of Europe in France S. Chain Singh to similarly help out the distressed Sikhs in Islamic Pakistan. Our party will ever be grateful to all the philanthropists who come to the aid of this minority in Islamic Pakistan.
