For us Sikh’s the Hindu Indian Army will never be forgiven for its barbaric attack code named Operation Bluestar of 1984. Ruin has seized it. – Simranjit Singh Mānn

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Sikh’s are a martial race. If a Sikh takes his child to a toy shop, he will observe that his child will invariably pick up a toy gun, tank, fighter jet or an artillery piece.
The Indian sub – continent has suffered many invasions from the North mostly through the Khyber Pass. The invader who came through this pass became the ruler of the Indian sub – continent. But since the rise of the Sikh’s and their Misils or confederates, the Sikh’s put an end to all invasions in the 18th century.
In reverse the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) the armies of this Empire annexed Kashmir in 1819 from Afghanistan. In 1834, Ladakh was made a part of the Sikh Empire. Therefore, the Sikh’s by nature are militaristic as a race and a nation.
Hindu India is observing Army Day today, (15th January, 2021) the Hindu state is proud of its short military history which begins in 1947. However, for us Sikh’s it is the other way and there is nothing to be proud of the army’s successes.
The Hindu Indian army since 1947 has in an operation amalgamated Hyderabad, Portuguese Goa, Kashmir, Junagarh and Sikkim. But in 1947 it could not keep the Sikh Homeland in its entirety. The Radcliffe Line has created a historic challenge to the Sikh’s. The surrender of 39,000 Sq. Kms. in Ladakh in 1962 by the army and later in April and May last year has not been taken well by the Sikh’s.
Since 1947 the Hindu state has used its force (Army) in Hyderabad, Goa, Sikkim, Junagarh, Kashmir, 1962 war with Communist China, 1965 war with Islamic Pakistan, 1971 war with Islamic Pakistan, 1984 war with stateless Sikhs.
In the 1984 war with the Sikhs Premier Indira Gandhi allied with the fanatic BJP- RSS sought the military help of Britain and Soviet Russia. These three forces attacked the holiest Sikh shrine the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple). This infamous ingress is code named Operation Bluestar of 1984. In this attack the three armed forces could not gain control of the sanctum sanctorum for 72 hours.
These forces massacred 25 thousands Sikh pilgrims looted the Tosha Khana and the Sikh Reference Library of Darbar Sahib, carrying away the priceless treasures as war trophies.
Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale with the aid of General Shubeg Singh and the Damdami Taksal defended the complex to the last. Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale, General Shubeg Singh and members of the Damdmi Taksal all were martyred.
That day the army was led by Lt. General Sundarji, Lt. General RS Dyal and Major General KS Brar. They knew the protocol to give the defending Generals a Military funeral. But now the Hinduised army forgot all its etiquettes and handed the body of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala to the Police and we do not know whether he was cremated with Sikh rites.
As per Major General Shubeg Singh, a valiant soldier who had organized the East Bengal Guerrilla Force called Mukti Bhani, which softened the targets behind the fortified positions of the Islamic Pakistani army, for the Coup De Grace of Lt. General Jagjit Singh’s army and capture or Decca. 92 thousands Pakistani soldiers surrendered and were captured.
After this great victory, first of its kind in Hindu history, Lt. General Jagjit Singh was ill-treated and not given the credit for this great victory.
I was the aid-de-camp to the Punjab Governor Dr. DC Pavate. Lt. General Jagjit Singh was invited for lunch with the Governor at Punjab Raj Bhawan. Dr. Pavate appreciated the General’s great victory. I recall the famous words of the Cambridge University educated Governor. The Governor was sorry that Lt. General had been shabbily treated. Before bidding him farewell Governor Pavate turning to the victorious General said “General had you been a British General you would have been made a peer like Mountbatten of Burma and you would have won for yourself the peerage of Jagjit Singh of Bangladesh.
As for Major General Shubeg Singh the Mukti Bhani Guerrilla Commander, he was demeaned by the Hindu Indian state. But in June 1984 he died a heroic death defending the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple). He fell on 6th June 1984. But the army let his body remain in the Akal Takhat Sahib till 9th June 1984. June is the hottest month of the year in the Punjab. As vengeance his body was allowed to decay and putrefy, maggots running inside and outside his martyred body. We think this is a shameful and horrific act of the three Generals which carried out this barbaric action against the stateless Sikh’s and till then their own people and citizens.
After this the people of the Hindu state can observe the Army Day in whichever way they wish. But no gentleman soldier and officer would like to look a Sikh in the face after this shameful action of the army against its own people. Shamefully the army cannot protect its own territory and Communist China’s PLA is sitting tight inside Ladakh since April- May last year. But this shameful army genuflects before the Dhotiwala’s instead of pushing the PLA behind the lines, where it rightfully belongs before Hindu India and its army allowed it to march forward in 1962.
No proud Sikh will raise a toast to the army on Army Day today.
Facta non Verba.
