Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that it agrees with the prescription of Governor Vohra for peace. However, the Governor refuses to have the massacre of 43 Sikh’s by the army in village Chittisinghpura investigated by the CBI though this tragedy took place in 2000. If the Governor refuses to dole out justice to the Sikh’s then how can harmony be established if he cannot get the cooperation of civil society. The Governor likes putting the cart before the horse. A meddlesome mind cannot create tranquillity. However, Governor Vohra’s forte is not administration but management of Hindu religious shrines and the annual Amarnath pilgrimage. In this category he has no rival.
