Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Rohingyas of Myanmar or Burma are a minority in Burma. They are Muslims. Burma is a majority Buddhist country ruled by a military junta and the Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. This government has been carrying out a systematic ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslim minority. The process of ethnic cleansing in that country is against international law. Old democratic leader Aung San Suu Kyi who supports the military regime is in cahoots with this government in supporting ethnic cleansing and human rights excesses. As a result the Canadian government has deprived her of her honourary citizenship of that country.
The Rohingyas are in a desperate situation, but the ultra right wing Hindu Union government of India led by Premier Narendra Modi has issued a fresh order through his Union Home minister Rajnath Singh to order all the states of India to identify Muslims Rohingyas in their respective states. After this Mr. Modi and his government will deport the Rohingyas to Burma, where ultimately they will face death, rape, abduction, kidnapping, maiming and other horrendous crimes by the Burmese military governed state.
The United States has recently criticized Pakistan for not helping the Muslim Uyghur’s of Xinjiang, a province of China. The US has also put Pakiatan in the dock for not supporting the Rohingyas of Burma.
In the light of this ethnic cleansing crisis in Xinjiang and Burma which the United States has criticized, we ask the Americans that in the case of the deportation of the Rohingyas Muslims from Hindu India to Buddhist Burma, where if deported they will face ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity, they should strictly tell the Hindu Indian state with which they have made a military and security pact that they will come down heavily on this Hindu state if it carries out its orders to identify the Rohingyas and later deport them into the jaws of death, that being Burma.
