Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that Mr. Pritam Singh has written a good article on Operation Bluestar.

The solution he advocates is that like the African National Congress of Nelson Mandela of South Africa, the Hindu Indian state should constitute a truth and reconciliation commission.

Such a solution has been suggested earlier by some very devious Hindu’s, primarily Mr. Kuldip Nayer and Mr. I. K. Gujral.

Our party the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar rejected this idea because under such a commission all politicians, bureaucrats and military officers who have committed the crime of genocide and acts of vandalism would confess and be given impunity by the rules of the commission.

Such a commission in South Africa came about when the African National Congress of Nelson Mandela triumphed over the abominable crime of Apartheid and formed a government that was sovereign. The Whites and their Black and Indian collaborators who had committed heinous crimes against the Blacks knew that no punishment unlike the Nuremburg Trials awaited them.

Now if such a commission is formed in Hindu India and all culpable criminals confess their commission of crimes they would be given impunity for their crimes and set free.

The aggrieved Sikh’s would as colonised and oppressed people of the Hindu Indian state, get nothing save knowing the culprits that committed these horrendous crimes against them.

The Sikh’s would only benefit if they carve out an independent, sovereign state of their own which would a buffer between three inimical nuclear armed states, these being Islamic Pakistan. Hindu India and Communist China.

In such a sovereign state if the Sikh’s setup such a truth and reconciliation commission, giving impunity for the crimes committed by these scallywags, in a scenario like this, the Sikh’s would feel magnanimous in their forgiveness and the scallywags would suffer the shame of their crimes against humanity.

Therefore, under the present state of affairs where we Sikh’s live unequal lives, it would be unfair to forgive our oppressors and genocidairies and have them receive impunity for their crimes.

The author knows very well the punishments the Sikh’s gave to the perpetrators the of Gahlughara’s or holocausts.
