Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this meeting of Governor N N Vohra of Jammu & Kashmir with the Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and his team of senior Lt General’s is highly objectionable constitutionally and politically as the constitutionally elected government headed by its Chief Minister Bibi Mehbooba Mufti has been totally left out of the dialogue and discussion of what transpired between the Governor appointed by the BJP-RSS from Delhi which mistrusts the Sikh’s and Muslim’s and the Hindu generals.
Earlier General Rawat speaking about the Kashmiri’s method of fighting for their rights said that if the Kashmiri’s adopted the armed method of fighting it would be easier for his army to deal with them. We suggest that if General Rawat is in the mood to fight an armed battle then he should take on someone equal to him, that being China which is in occupation of 39,000 sq.kms of Ladakhi land which was surrendered to it by THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) in the 1962 skirmishes.
There is also a resolution of the Hindu state’s parliament that the Hindu state will not rest till the last inch of this territory is recaptured.
For historic records we want to mention that during the period of the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire- 1799- 1849) Kashmir and Ladakh are conquered Sikh territories. Prior to the Lahore Darbar, Kashmir was a province of Afghanistan and Ladakh a part of Tibet over which China held suzerainty.
Therefore on matters of Kashmir and Ladakh Sikh’s will have to be a part of the dialogue between the various countries who claim both these territories.
