Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is how the extremist and fanatic fringe of the Hindu’s the BJP-RSS feel about a Sikh, a former Prime Minister of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State).
As far as our party is concerned we do not recognise the so called national policy stated by the BJP-RSS that Pakistan is a pariah state. It is the national policy of the Hindu state of which the Sikh’s have nothing to do with. Pakistan is our neighbour, half our civilization exists there and we Sikh’s wish to retain good relations with it, come what may. The Hindu’s and Muslim’s have a historical enmity with one another. The Sikh’s are neither Hindu’s nor Muslim’s, therefore we cannot be slaves of a policy framed by either of them.
However, Saradar Manmohan Singh has followed a servile policy of the domineering Hindu majority and thus has sacrificed his independent thinking and personality as a Sikh. It is a pitiful situation he has placed himself in and we recall the fate and words of Cardinal Woolsey before his execution ordered by his King Henry VIII, when he says- Had I served my Lord as faithfully as I served my King, I would not have met such a fate. Then the executioner’s sharp axe fell on the Cardinal’s neck. We hope the Sardar will come into his own.
Manmohan Singh Cardinal Woolsey
Sikh’s are a separate nation, and we must exercise our separate sui generis sovereign character and not await the crumbs to fall down for us from the Hindu high table.
