Appointing Dalai Lamas should be left to the practitioners of the Buddhist faith. The US and Communist China have no business in interfering in the Buddhist faith.-Simranjit Singh Mānn
The Tribune dated 10th March 2020
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our party does not think that the station or the seat of the Dalia Lama should be contested by two nuclear armed states, the USA and Communist China.
The decision of selection or appointment of the Dalai Lamas should be left to the Tibetan Buddhist faith.
Neither the US nor Communist China professes the Buddhist faith and it would serve no purpose in non Buddhist sates appointing Dalai Lamas.
