Fatehgarh Sahib, 27 June ( ) Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) thanks all voters in Sangrur parliamentary constituency for bringing out a revolutionary change in the stale politics of the Punjab. Our party will strongly work for the release of Sikh prisoners who have been languishing in various prisons in the country for the last 30 years, which is inhuman and cruel. Our party disapproves of the military’s change in recruitment, as the borders of the country are being consistently breached and this Agnipath will spoil and ruin the historic formations of the armed forces, which have stood the test of time. Starvation of the poverty stricken people, the farm labourers helpless and their poverty, besides the heavy debts of the farmers who are been driven towards suicides. Unemployment of the youth, opening the Punjab Wagha border for trade, commerce with the Islamic Pakistan, Islamic countries to its West, erstwhile Soviet mid Asian republics, Russia and China. The occupation of Communist China’s territories in Ladakh in 2020. Dismantling Islamic Masque, Churches in Goa, the genocide of the Kashmiri people under the law AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) which gives powers to the military to kill, maim, kidnap, abduct, murder, rape, molest, torture, detain any person for an endless time, with impunity.

This law contravenes Article 21 of the Constitution which states that no person can be deprived of his life and liberty without following the procedure laid down by law. Yet the Supreme Court which is the guardian of the Constitution is not willing to strike this inhuman law and declare it ultra vires the Constitution.

Giving a bad name to the Adivasis in Chattishgarh, Madya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Maharashtra and killing these Tribal’s, dubbing them as Naxalite and Maoists. Claims of Punjab on its river waters, the return of Chandigarh and its Punjab University and Punjabi speaking areas given away to Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh will be the main points of struggle for the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and the secularize of Sikh scriptures, election to the SGPC which has become a Lame Duck Parliament as the last eleven years elections have not be held to this House. These will be some of the falient points that our party will need to eradicate these fascist and Hindutva politics.
