Our Party Shriomani Akali Dal (Amritsar) is now of the opinion that the Law and order and democratic situation in Jammu and Kashmir has derioated since the BJP – RSS Union Government on 5th August 2019 abrogated article 370 and 35 A of the Constitution, dissolved the state assembly reduced Jammu Kashmir’s in status and converted it into an Union Territory, governed directly from Delhi by the radicalised BJP – RSS Union Government of Premier Narendra Modi.
It also introduce the draconian Law AFSPA under which the security authorities have the power to kill, maim, molest with impunity.
The Supreme Court which is the guardian of the constitution has not struck down this barbaric law which offends article 21 of the Constitution, which guarantees the life and liberty of every citizen.
Now the minorities in Jammu and Kashmir have begun fleeing as the Union Government cannot guarantee their life, property and liberty.
On the other hand the security forces are killing Kashmiri Muslims in extra judicial murders.
The UN Security Council ought sit together, immediately send UN sponsored military peace keeping missions to Jammu and Kashmir to stabilised the situation and ensure life and liberty of every citizen irrespective of religion, caste and colour.
Our Party fears that under the present circumstances foreign militants have also entered Jammu and Kashmir. The situation is worsening by the day.
