Why no Sikh Judge elevated as a High Court Chief Justice? Simranjit Singh Mann.

The Tribune dated 18th May 2022.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is a great injustice that the Supreme Court now does not follow the Principles of secularism which is prominently mentioned in the preamble of the Constitution, although the Supreme Court is the guardian of the Constitution.

In the light of Six High Court justices being elevated as Chief Justices, we see no Sikh who could not have risen to this rank had the Principles of secularism been adhered to by the Supreme Court.

There is also no Sikh Judge of the Supreme Court which shows the trend of the higher judiciary turning towards Hindutva and the creation of a Hindu Rashtra.
