The Hindu Indian state should try and introduce the Iranian Cheetah as it has the same genes as the now extinct Indian Cheetah. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 25th April 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is very sad and unfortunate that the Cheetahs which have been brought from South Africa and Namibia have begun to die.

One of the reasons may be that the genes of the now extinct Indian Cheetah could not match the African genes of the Cheetahs brought from there.

The Indian Cheetahs genes are closest to the genes of the Iranian Cheetah. But since Iran is an Islamic country and the BJP-RSS are at odds with Islam, therefore Premier Narinder Modi could not have felt easy in introducing the Iranian Islamic Cheetahs and preferred the South African species.

However, our party appreciates the fact that Premier Modi has tried to fill the vacuum by the import of Cheetahs from another continent. He should now try and bring in the Iranian species and introduce it in another park.

The Sikhs will be happy to note that Guru Gobind Singh when out hunting used to hunt with hawks and two Cheetahs.
