Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that the Sikhs are in a hopeless minority in The Tribune Trust. Therefore, The Tribune ignores Sikh national aspirations and does not use the Sikh national suffix-singh after the first name of a Sikh.
It also never invites Sikhs to write in its columns. It is now largely a Hindutva newsline.
