The founder Dyal Singh Majithia converted to a Hindu sect, therefore, The Tribune has little respect for the Sikh religion and nation. Simranjit Singh Mann

Comments by Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Sikh’s do not worship images as depicted in the picture above.

The fact is that after the fall of the Sikh Empire in 1849, Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia the founder of The Tribune was born in 1848. After the fall of the empire, Christain and Hindu missions became very active in converting the Sikh’s into their respective missions.

The Hindu’s under the Brahm Samaj converted the demorilised Sikh’s like Dyal Singh towards their fold. As a result The Tribune has since its birth defamed the Sikh’s and their religion. Their editors have forever been in this unkind venture.

Their editor Pram Bhatia was responsible for egging former Premier Indira Gandhi to attack the stateless Sikh’s militarily resulting in the infamous ingress of three armies of Britain, Soviet’s and Hindu state’s into the holiest Sikh shrine the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) in the historic misadventure code named Operation Bluestar of 1984, which resulted in the Commission of crimes of genocide memoricide, ethnocide and vandalism of the Sikh peoples. The current editor Mr. Rajesh Ramachandran, is no exception and he regularly keeps having potshots at the Sikh’s, not knowing their religion or their psyche.

Going back to the days when Prem Bhatia was the editor of The Tribune, the Sikh’s irked him to the extent that he went about making in depth inquiries how the Sikh Membership of the Chandigarh Golf club was always in a majority.

I am presently in Delhi and only arrived here on the day 29th January, 2023 when I had voted for the new President and Executive Committee formation. Sadly for the ghosts of Prem Bhatia and the Tribune, a Sikh as President and the Committee with the majority of Sikh’s has come into being after the election.
