Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is sad to say that the Hindu’s have never had a military tradition. Since the Hindu theocratic state was formed in 1947 the Hindu’s have never trusted the Sikh’s in the military.
Before 1947 in British India the Sikh’s had a quota of 33% in the armed services. After 1947 with the Hindu’s holding the levers of power at the Union the Sikh’s now only have a quota of 2% in the armed services.
The Hindu state cannot last for very long as it has alienated the schedule castes, tribals and the minorities. Incidents such as at Koregaon in Maharashtra on 1st January 2018 where the BJP-RSS has bashed up the scheduled castes spell the doom of the Hindu Indian state.
