The Tribune 15th November 2017
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann:
Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that as The Tribune alleges along with the forces of Hindutva, the Sikh’s are neither terrorists, nor radicals nor extremists, nor hardliners. They are a stateless people who have been subjected to the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing by THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian state).
In the current case which The Tribune has taken up, the Sikh’s merely want that Sikh prisoner’s are not detained illegally and that they are not tortured either in police custody or in jails, in which case I myself have undergone such sufferings. The journalist working for The Tribune should drop the purpose of his employment by running with a hare and hunting with the hounds, as we live in the Punjab, we are well aware of the barbaric practices of the police and the Hindu state towards the minorities, Sikh’s and Muslim’s who are the main bait of state terror. There is no proof that the Sikh’s are involved in any killings and neither do Sikh’s support the killings of innocents. However, The Tribune never thinks or writes about the terrorism of the Hindu state. It must be read with a pinch of salt.
