To The Editor,
Please refer to your editorial dated 21st August 2019 entitled “The right call”. In this respect we all know that the Kashmir case is an international issue. In 1948 the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution for a plebiscite for Kashmir. This UNSC resolution has to be honoured by all countries who are members of the United Nations.
Therefore, our party cannot call the abrogation of article 370 and 35A as a piece of internal legislative aand administrative measure, as your editorial states. We think China has done well in taking this case to the UNSC as otherwise the changes that the Hindu Indian state has made are akin to what Hitler did to the Weimar Republic in 1933, then unleashed his war machine across Europe. His compatriots Mussolini invaded Euthopia and Japanese Premier Tojo invaded Manchuria and China. These aggressors nullified the authority of the League of Nations and made it as dead as a dodo. Our party doesn’t want the same fate to befall on the United Nation as the Hindu state under Premier Modi has contemptuously defied the United Nations.
We Sikh’s are a stateless people, boxed in geographically by three nuclear armed states- Islamic Pakistan, Hindu India and Communist China, all implacable foes amongst one another.
Further, if the events are not controlled the unprecedented rape of his own constitution by an extremist Premier Modi, we fear the breakout of a nuclear war in which the Sikh and Punjabi civilization will be totally annihilated.
Therefore, what the UNSC has decided and told the Hindu state to be cautious and not take truculent measures is beneficial to peace in South Asia.
Our party has always claimed that THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) has committed the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Sikh peoples and it is a fascist and racist state akin to states run by Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo. Therefore, the Sikh’s are fighting peacefully for a separate, independent and sovereign state which will serve as a buffer between these three deadly nuclear armed states.Your newspaper from the days of 1984 in which your editor Prem Bhatia supported the trilateral military action of Indra Gandhi against the stateless Sikh’s can never be forgotten or forgiven, but still you are following the same old obstreperous policy against the minority Sikh peoples, which is sad.
